Update Containment/Transition of Command Brush Fire; INC#0773; 12:53PM; Brush *Ruby* Inc | Redmesa Dr; https://bit.ly/4em5AH2; Chatsworth; The footprint of the Ruby Incident fire is within MRCA (Mountains Recreation & Conservation Authority) jurisdictional boundaries. This organization assumed command at 1620 hrs, and placed an MRCA duty officer on scene to maintain overnight patrol status with at least one MRCA Type III engine and one MRCA water tender until at least 0700 hrs tomorrow morning. The LAFD will return at 0700 hrs on 12/1 with drones to evaluate the scene and coordinate with MRCA for any further needs. While no injuries were reported to any fire department personnel, the rider of the motorcycle involved in the accident was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition. It is estimated at 1 acre currently with some generalized spot fires. The rider of the motorcycle (unknown age/gender) is being assessed. FORWARD PROGRESS STOPPED Brush Fire; INC#0500; 09:23AM; 11733 Cetona Wy; https://bit.ly/4n1VQVU; Chatsworth; Firefighters stopped the forward progress of the Harold Fire at approximately three acres with no injuries reported and no structures damaged. The fire is wholly within the jurisdiction of Los Angeles County Fire Department and the incident will transition to them for the mop up operations. Gas company and additional LAFD (firefighter recovery) resources have been requested. Fire crews have begun to overhaul the structure, salvaging property and cooling hot spots on the first and second floors to ensure the fire hazard is completely mitigated. Structure Fire - Significant Civilian Injury; INC#0683; 11:14AM; 10425 N Hillview Av; https://bit.ly/3Y7x3Ga; Chatsworth; Firefighters arrived to a one-story single family dwelling with nothing showing. Crews initiated a fire attack and found smoke coming from one room. While extinguishing the contents-only fire (in one room), firefighters located a patient and carried them out of the building. The patient (age/gender unknown) is in *at least* critical condition. LAFD Arson requested for the investigation per protocol for significant injury.
