Update AIRCRAFT CRASH/ CRASH IMMINENT; INC#1526; 06:57PM; 9151 N Mason Av; https://bit.ly/46mAgWl; Chatsworth; 56 firefighters responded to the incident. The fire has been completely extinguished. No exposure to any structures. 4 automobiles and 2 storage containers have been damaged by the fire. Four patients have been assessed. Three patients have been determined deceased on scene. One patient has been transported to a local hospital in unknown condition. NTSB and FAA will be handling the investigation. LAFD PIO is on scene. Fire from the crash is exposing four vehicles. Firefighters are in offensive mode, attacking the fire and assessing patients and medical triage. LAFD PIO has a 15 minute ETA to staging location on De Soto north of the intersection. The Mayor's Crisis Response team has been notified. The intersection will be shut down for an unknown amount of time. Firefighters operated in the invest mode. After further investigation, firefighters found a fire out in a storage unit and 2 patients. No injuries to firefighters and no extension of the fire. Cause at this time is unknown. An arson unit has been requested to further the investigation. Approximately 35 LAFD personnel assigned to the incident. No exposures reported and all occupants are out of the structure. No reports of injuries or patients at this time. No known cause at this time.
