Fire was confined to the one-story portion of the split-level building, with no extension to the two-story portion. Crews remain on scene for overhaul. Rehabilitation vehicles are arriving on the scene for firefighters, and LA Building and Safety has been requested to assess structural integrity. LAFD Heavy Equipment teams are on standby in the event demolition is requested. No civilian or firefighter injuries reported. Firefighters worked quickly to surround the burning area with hose lines and extinguish the flames. Several fire companies will remain at the scene to address hotspots and ensure there is no threat of further spread. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1789; 09:49PM; 13645 W Riverside Dr; https://bit.ly/4bEVm2b; #ShermanOaks; Firefighters arrived at Notre Dame High School to find flames coming from the roof. Crews extended ladders to the roof and ascended to find fire near a roofing construction operation. Firefighters brought hose lines to the roof to extinguish the flames, which had only damaged the roof and exterior wall of the building. It took 38 firefighters 20 minutes to extinguish the flames.
