Update Structure Fire; 04:33PM; 4610 N Van Nuys Bl; internal:/; Sherman Oaks; KNOCKDOWN: 56 FFs in 35 mins. A roof ventilation operation closely coordinated with an interior fire attack into the attic stopped the fire from spreading throughout the attic. Firefighters contained it to a small (footage ?) area, thus saving the majority of the building from suffering damage. Crews will be on scene extended period conducting salvage operations. Update Structure Fire; 04:12PM; 4610 N Van Nuys Bl; internal:/; Sherman Oaks; Roof fire extended into the attic and starting to spread with heavy smoke on the 3rd floor and light smoke on the 2nd floor. All individual storage units are locked which creates a challenge gaining full access to attic from below. Water flow is into open parking, therefore causing no damage to building/contents. One small rehab/PT business being evacuated (number of people unk) in abundance of caution due to presence of light smoke. No injuries reported.
