Update Knockdown Structure Fire; INC#0930; 02:24PM; 23528 W Burbank Bl; http://bit.ly/38AWVy9; Woodland Hills; Despite intense fire within the one story ranch-style home, LAFD Firefighters relentlessly searched the well-involved premises during an aggressive and well-coordinated firefight to find and rescue a female occupant (unk age / affiliation / circumstances). She was provided immediate care by LAFD responders and taken to an area hospital in critical condition. It took 31 minutes to extinguish the flames. Update Explosion; INC#0752; 03:00PM; 12224 W Montague St; http://bit.ly/38uGkfm; Pacoima; The patient is still in critical condition at a local hospital with severe burns, after being lit on fire by an explosion near the electrical panel of a large one-story commercial building. Bystanders used fire extinguishers to douse the flames and save the man. DWP arrived on scene to de-energize the area. The remaining fire at the electrical panel has been extinguished, now that the electrical hazard has been eliminated. No other injuries. Unknown cause of the explosion. Firefighters engaged in a transitional attack, extinguishing the outside flames first and working their way to an offensive interior attack to fully extinguish the fire, with the help of roof division ventilating the structure. A search revealed that all occupants were out of the structure. No other patients reported. No transports from the scene. Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1345; 07:40PM; 21055 W Ingomar St; http://bit.ly/2TxgHGx; Canoga Park; At the same home that burned on Friday, 26 firefighters extinguished flames (initially through the roof) in 16 minutes. LAFD's vertical ventilation was still in place from the previous night. Firefighters quickly deployed hose lines to the interior to extinguish the flames. The cause is currently unknown. Arson investigators are en route and building overhaul will not commence until investigators have examined the scene (preserve potential evidence). One firefighter was injured (non-life--threatening) and will be transported in fair condition. With fire having already broken a front window, crews performed a transitional attack with an upward hose stream through the window to cool the atmosphere, before making entrance for an interior attack, as crews on the roof coordinated their vertical ventilation. After extinguishing the flames, firefighters searched the structure and found no occupants inside. No reported injuries.
