Rescue; INC#1705; 10:01PM; 23422 W Los Encinos Wy; http://bit.ly/2TkFZWu; Woodland Hills; PRELIM: One person ( unk age / gender / condition / affiliation ) stranded and possibly injured after reportedly falling (unk distance or circumstances ) into the (mostly dry) Calabasas Creek flood control channel, which is approximately 20' deep with vertical walls at the location. Update Structure Fire; INC#1283; 06:11PM; 911 N Griswold Av; http://bit.ly/2SZBQZe; City of San Fernando; Correct address confirmed as *911* North Griswold Ave. The fire began on the covered rear patio of the combination one- and two-story multi-family residence (1 story at the rear, 2 at the front; a former single family home subdivided to a residential fourplex), and minimally extended into the rear of the structure, There was no human injury. One pet cat was rescued from the smoke charged building by Firefighters and successfully resuscitated with oxygen. The search for two other felines in the building led to the sad discovery of one who was deceased. A whole-hearted search for the third cat continues. The cause of the fire is electrical, related to the charging of a large battery on the rear patio. Update Traffic Collision with Entrapment; INC#0679; 11:30AM; 12900 N Herrick Av; http://bit.ly/2VhMYlL; Sylmar; 2 vehicles, now described as a compact sedan, and a *big rig dump truck* that was apparently parked or standing in the roadways' center divider. Only patient = adult male from sedan who was briefly trapped before being freed by LAFD responders using hydraulic prying tools. He has been taken to an area trauma center by LAFD Paramedics in undetermined condition with unspecified injury. There were no other occupants in either vehicle. Update Long Fall; INC#1016; 03:25PM; 12470 W Tibbetts St; http://bit.ly/2SIM546; Sylmar; A 46-year-old female (reported by bystanders to have) jumped off of a bridge into a dry portion of the Pacoima Wash, now being described as a 40-foot vertical distance. Firefighters set up a litter basket operation from above using the aerial ladder of the fire truck. The patient is conscious, but in serious condition, and has been transported to the closest trauma center by LAFD Firefighter-Paramedics.
