Rescue; INC#1002; 03:58PM; 4058 N Laurel Canyon Bl; http://bit.ly/388u1EL; Studio City; PRELIM: Adult male reportedly jumped an unknown distance off a bridge into the mostly dry concrete-lined vertical walled Los Angeles River flood control channel. He is conscious and alert with unspecified injury. LAFD personnel have descended to his location, and are placing him in a litter basket style stretcher. 'Plan A' is to manually lift him in the stretcher to ground level using a pair of 24-foot ground ladders. Update Knockdown Brush Fire; INC#0634; 11:23AM; 11062 N Winnetka Av; http://bit.ly/2uyEOur; Chatsworth; Despite wind, an LAFD ground and air response of 55 personnel took just 27 minutes to fully extinguish less that one-quarter acre of freeway adjacent vegetation that was burning at the southeast corner of the intersection of Porter Ranch Dr and Ronald Reagan (SR118) Freeway. There have been no injuries and no structures threatened. The eastbound onramp only to the 118 Freeway at Porter Ranch Drive will remain closed until LAFD operations are complete. Update Rescue; INC#1705; 10:50PM; 23422 W Los Encinos Wy; http://bit.ly/2TkFZWu; Woodland Hills; An adult male not affiliated with nearby home/s, fell approximately 20' down the vertical concrete wall of the mostly dry Calabasas Creek flood control channel, landing in the bottom of the channel, sustaining leg injuries.
