Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0685; 02:07PM; 10842 N Fellows Av; https://bit.ly/2zzNfba; Pacoima; Firefighters found wires down in the backyard of a one-story single-family home and a vegetation fire (extending up into some trees) that was exposing nearby homes to the flames. The first 36 LAFD personnel on scene worked together to protect the three adjacent homes around the burning vegetation. Fire spread to only the exterior of the homes (stucco and roof surface) before firefighters extinguished the flames 31 minutes after the first alarm. No fire made it into the living space inside the homes. Two garden sheds sustained fire damage. All residents safely evacuated and there were no reported injuries. Update CONTAINED Brush Fire; INC#1141; 07:00PM; 3590 N Woodhill Canyon Pl; https://bit.ly/2Ad6l6S; Studio City; The flames have been skillfully doused by LAFD Air Ops in the (updated) approximately one-quarter-acre burn footprint. LAFD Crew 3 is cutting a line in the brush down to "mineral earth" around the perimeter (with hand tools) to isolate the unburned brush from the burn area, which still has some hot spots and smoldering material. Crews will remain on scene for mop up efforts. No reported injuries. No structures damaged.
