Crews will remain on scene to continue improving the perimeter and extinguishing hot spots within the burn footprint. No reported injuries. Investigation revealed that a faulty piece of equipment and its ducting were the culprit of the smoke. 32 firefighters quickly eliminated the heat and source of smoke in 20 minutes (10:03 PM), after a thorough investigation to ensure no fire spread through the ducting elsewhere in the building. An aggressive interior fire attack with coordinated vertical ventilation by 26 firefighters resulted in extinguishment after 14 minutes (2:41 PM). Firefighters performed a second search after the fire was out and found one adult male decease, in a manner unrelated to fire or smoke. No firefighter injuries. The cause of the fire is under active investigation.
