The fire was burning on the first floor and into the elevator shaft, sending smoke throughout the building. Initial reports of a person trapped inside made the interior search a high priority. Thankfully, no patients were located inside the structure. No reported injuries. Update Structure Fire; INC#0943; 03:09PM; 7133 N Mammoth Av; https://bit.ly/3gkUIKw; Van Nuys; KNOCKDOWN: 83 firefighters extinguished the fire in 46 minutes with no injuries reported. The excessive storage inside the structure presented a challenge in safely reaching the seat of the fire. The fire extended into the attic but was prevented from spreading to a neighboring residence. Crews conducted a primary and secondary search inside the structure and located no occupants. LAFD Arson section is responding for the cause investigation. This will be an extended overhaul operation due to the fire load inside the building and the need to ensure no hot spots remain within the debris.
