CONTAINED Brush Fire; INC#1111; 04:37PM; 15260 W Burbank Bl; https://bit.ly/2UlTLwa; Sherman Oaks; Twenty-eight LAFD firefighters held the slow-moving fire in medium-to-heavy brush to approximately one-half acre, achieving containment in 48 minutes. Firefighters surrounded the fire with hose lines and cut fire line around the circumference to eliminate the threat of spreading. Crews will remain on scene to extinguish hot spots and eliminate the chance of reignition. Update Structure Fire; INC#0851; 01:56PM; 12813 N Cometa Av; https://bit.ly/2zFIY3f; outside city; KNOCKDOWN:26 firefighters located a well developed attic fire over the converted garage and extinguished it in 38 minutes. While crews performed salvage operations in the home to protect belongings, others continued to conduct fire attack, pull ceiling and locate the seat of the fire. The fire was in a difficult to reach location and took close coordination between the roof companies and fire attack. Two dogs were in the home at the time. Crews located them and safely moved them to the yard. No injuries reported.
