KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0265; 05:35AM; 657 N Newton St; https://bit.ly/3qpDXoH; San Fernando; LAFD arrived to find San Fernando Police assisting occupants with evacuation of the one-story home with fire in the attic. Firefighters began by deploying plastic covers over belongings below the fire (salvage operations) to protects from the water deployed in the attic above, while crews positioned themselves on the roof awaiting coordination from fire attack teams inside. After salvage, crews simultaneously created openings from above and below to access the burning attic. Ultimately, it took 22 firefighters 37 minutes to extinguish the flames. No reported injuries.
