Update #HansenFire - Contained Brush Fire; INC#0882; 02:06PM; 11798 W Foothill Bl; https://bit.ly/38aohAJ; #HansenDam; Despite ambient temperature as high as 106°F, LAFD ground and air units with Automatic Aid from Los Angeles County Fire Department ground units, took 64 minutes to stop forward progress of the fire, holding the blaze to approximately *one* acre of medium-to-heavy brush in two nearby locations within the Hansen Dam Recreation Area. No structure damage. No evacuation. No injury. LAFD helicopters and all LACoFD units have been released. A limited number of LAFD ground crew will remain on scene for at least two hours to overhaul and complete extinguishment of smoldering debris. Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0624; 12:42PM; 10347 W Mccormick St; https://bit.ly/3qa0BBX; North Hollywood; KNOCKDOWN: 26 firefighters extinguished the fire with no injuries reported. Note: This incident was originally dispatched with a BLS ambulance as an 'injury' call at 11:53AM. The ambulance was on standby at the address for LAPD. Approximately 30 minutes into the standby, the crew reported a working structure fire in the unit. The incident was then upgraded to a structure fire response and a knockdown was gained approximately 12 mins later. Any queries as to the nature of the call within the unit prior to the fire is referred to LAPD Inc# 1652.
