One adult male civilian who sustained smoke inhalation has been transported by LAFD Paramedics to an area hospital in undetermined condition. Knockdown - Structure Fire; INC#1298; 05:01PM; 22133 W Burbank Bl; https://bit.ly/3HkHaPj; #WoodlandHills; 63 Firefighters took just 53 minutes to access, confine and extinguish stubborn flames deep within the common walls and attic of a two-story residential fourplex (four adjoining two-story townhomes), with smoke and some fire impact to two rooms. No injury. Though the specific cause of the fire has yet to be determined, the unit of fire origin was largely unfurnished and undergoing significant renovation at the time of the fire, including active plumbing hot-work (torch use) just prior to the fire. There are no injuries or structures currently threatened. #LATraffic: Closure of ALL lanes of Laurel Canyon Boulevard between Fryman Road and Mulholland Drive until LADWP crews have secured the leak, and rendered the site safe for travel. Unknown ETO. Motorists, expect congestion and delay, avoid the immediate area and consider an alternate route. Monitor traffic reports on news radio. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1713; 08:59PM; 12411 W Osborne St; https://bit.ly/48RNNEk; #Pacoima; Firefighters responded to a *two-story* townhome with smoke showing. LAPD reported a person having a behavioral emergency inside the structure, and took that person into custody for safety. Crews found fire on the first and second floors of the residential unit, and mounted a coordinated fire attack, with interior hose lines and vertical (rooftop) ventilation. It took 46 firefighters 23 minutes to extinguish the flames. Four patients were evaluated by LAFD Paramedics for smoke inhalation, including one LAPD Officer who was effecting a rescue. Of the four patients evaluated, only the person experiencing the behavioral emergency will be transported.
