While firefighters were attempting to set up a rescue air cushion the male on the ledge cooperated with police and fire authorities at which LAPD skillfully and peacefully apprehended the man. Firefighter-paramedics are providing a medical assessment on scene. KNOCKDOWN Greater Alarm Structure Fire; INC#0186; 06:13AM; 3265 N Oakdell Ln; https://bit.ly/3x3kQrj; #StudioCity; Firefighters arrived to find a 6,650 sq-ft two-story home built in 1971, with heavy fire in the rear, which consumed one room in the rear and developed into a deep-seated attic fire. Crews confirmed all occupants were out of the home, and then pulled back into defensive mode due to the long duration of heavy fire exposing the structural members. The house subsequently sustained a roof collapse, as firefighters continued to apply hose streams from the exterior. Ultimately, it took 94 firefighters 2 hours and 16 minutes to access, confine, and extinguish the flames. One firefighter was transported in fair condition, and one occupant sustained minor smoke inhalation. Cause under investigation. Responders arrived to find a large portion of a hillside had slid down toward at least three homes. Several people have been evacuated from at least one of the homes. A primary search of the homes revealed no patients, but a more thorough (secondary) search will be conducted after daybreak. Department of Building and Safety is responding to assess the structures and hillsides. Helicopter Hoist Rescue 03/10/2024 INC#0442

Helicopter Hoist Rescue; INC#0442; 09:42AM; Haines Canyon Mountainway; https://bit.ly/3wQ51o4; #Tujunga; LAFD ground and air response to the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, for a 40 year-old male mountain bicyclist injured in a fall. A hovering LAFD Rescue Helicopter was able to find the patient, and lowered a Flight Paramedic to evaluate and medically stabilize the patient, who sustained a back injury.
