Structure Fire - Now Out; INC#0190; 04:31AM; 22125 W Roscoe Bl; https://bit.ly/3xUFG9g; #WestHills; 55 LAFD Firefighters took just 32 minutes (5:03 AM) to isolate and fully extinguish fire within a laundry room at a one-story skilled nursing facility. Twenty of the ninety patients were safely evacuated in their beds outdoors to be closely attended by nursing staff, while the others were safely sheltered in place within the facility, as smoke was effectively isolated by the building's room and sectional fire doors. None of the patients or staff have medical complaints related to the fire. Firefighters are using high-powered portable fans to further clear residual smoke, to allow all patients and staff to soon be rehoused. The incident is transitioning to a recovery operation with some LAFD resources being released. This does not *appear* to be a city employee but instead a private business construction operation however that is not yet confirmed. OSHA is being notified, per protocol, and is the point of contact regarding circumstances/cause etc. LAPD (Inc# 2136) and LA County Coroner are the referring agencies regarding identity and cause of death. No further details.
