The property owner confirmed the house was used for storage only and no one was inside. The fire was contained to the unit of origin and prevented from extending to the surrounding trees/vegetation and structures. Cause and $ loss TBD. The building is a detached, single family home (approx 1400sq ft) at the back of a large property with excessive storage and several different structures. First arriving crews quickly prioritized the home and kept the flames from running through the house. It took the first 20 firefighters 22 minutes to extinguish the fully-involved detached garage. It took 49 firefighters 21 minutes (2:05am) to extinguish the flames, and limit the damage to the nearby commercial building. Flames spread to the home on the adjacent property to the rear, but firefighters quickly extinguished the flames to limit the damage to the exposed home. It took 30 firefighters 20 minutes to fully extinguish the flames. No reported injuries.
