Update KNOCKDOWN Commercial Fire; INC#1183; 05:22PM; 5180 W Jefferson Bl; http://bit.ly/2QU2RdX; West Adams; 53 firefighters extinguished a one-story commercial structure fire in 31 minutes. The fire was knocked down on the first floor. Smoke was thick above, so companies ascended the mezzanine to search in heat and poor visibility for more fire. As the building cleared no more fire was found, the initial fire attack had eliminated all of the flames. No reported injuries (one patient was transported from the scene, condition unrelated to the incident). Quick action by firefighters led to a rapid knockdown in just 19 minutes from the initial 9-1-1 call. Downed power lines presented a hazard for crews to navigate. No reported injuries.
