Update Knockdown Structure Fire; INC#1009; 04:22PM; 1527 S Palos Verdes St; http://bit.ly/2PhBACI; San Pedro; First arriving LAFD personnel extended a ground ladder to rescue a male civilian (unk age or site affiliation) from a window of the burning 2nd floor apartment. It took 35 Firefighters just 18 minute to fully extinguish flames, confining them to the apartment of fire origin. The rescued male, whose subsequent agitated behavior hampered LAFD firefighting efforts, sustained only minor (unspecified) injury. Following a medical assessment by LAFD Paramedics, he was taken into the custody of LAPD (Harbor Division incident #3563) Officers at the scene. No other injuries were reported. Update Knockdown Structure Fire; INC#1077; 04:32PM; 3443 S Carmona Av; http://bit.ly/2SBpmHf; Baldwin Hills / #Crenshaw; 33 Firefighters took 16 minutes to extinguish flames at the 2 story residential fourplex, confining fire to one *First* floor apartment with lesser damage to the apartment above from lapping flames. An adult female resident discovered in the rear yard with burns to her feet, had evacuated the structure prior to LAFD arrival. She will be taken by ambulance to an area hospital in fair condition. No other injuries reported.
