Occupants confirmed no other people inside the structure (the back house with three occupants was defended from any fire damage). Primary search is clear. Firefighters have fans in place to blow out smoke and will perform their thorough secondary search once visibility improves. KNOCKDOWN Greater Alarm Structure Fire; INC#1096; 03:58PM; 3170 W Olympic Bl; https://bit.ly/4dBVEb0; #HarvardHeights; Firefighters responded to an eight-story apartment building (7 stories over parking) for a reported structure fire. Crews ascended the interior stair wells with hose and equipment, and made access to the top floor where they found fire in one unit. It took 52 firefighters 29 minutes to access, confine, and extinguish the flames. Firefighters will remain on scene to mitigate the water damage from fire suppression efforts, and evacuate smoke from the building. No reported injuries.
