The exposed structure was defended from damage. Three patients in fair condition are being assessed on scene -- no hospital transports anticipated at this time. LAFD arson and hazmat specialists en route; LAFD is coordinating scene management with LAPD (INC#1664). Full River Rescue 02/11/2026 INC#0135

Full River Rescue; INC#0135; 01:39AM; 2274 N Duvall St; https://bit.ly/4qO4UzL; Elysian Valley; LAFD units located a 56M on an "island" in the LA River. The river, at this juncture, is a vertical channel with an approximate flow rate of 30mph at an approximate depth of 4 feet. The patient is confirmed to be static on a dry island out of the water. LAFD Air Operations completed a hoist operation successfully rescuing the stranded male and transported him to a local hospital for hypothermia symptoms. No injuries to LAFD personnel reported.
