Update Structure Fire; 08:55PM; 1519 E Pleasant Av; internal:/; Boyle Heights; KNOCKDOWN: 101 FF in 58 mins. Address updated to 1519 E Pleasant Av. Building will continue to collapse as it smolders and water is applied. Red Cross notified to assist with housing needs for those evacuated (number unk) of adjacent 2 story apartment building (fire extended to the attic when fire building collapsed against it). Update Structure Fire; 08:34PM; 1516 E Pleasant Av; internal:/; Boyle Heights; The fire building has partial collapse towards the exposed building (two story, center hall apartments) on the bravo side (south/west) side of the structure. Fire extended into the attic of the apartment building and firefighters quickly pulled ceiling and gained a knockdown. Firefighters continue to defend the exposure on the delta (north/east) side of the fire building from any damage. Crews continue to battle the flames on the fire building. Update Structure Fire; 04:41PM; 4537 N Eagle Rock Bl; internal:/; Eagle Rock; KNOCKDOWN: 98 FF in 62 mins. Stubborn fire located under a large A/C platform was causing a hazard and took additional time to handle. Fire building updated to 75' x 250' vacant building with the attached, exposed building (DBA Philippine Village) also vacant. The buildings were fenced off on LAFD arrival. Arson units responding for the investigation. A large apartment complex on the delta (NE) side was evacuated out of an abundance of precaution but all residents are being rehoused with no danger remaining. No injuries reported. While some LAFD companies pending release, this will be an extensive overhaul operation and traffic will be impacted for an unknown time period. Update Structure Fire; 04:06PM; 4537 N Eagle Rock Bl; internal:/; Eagle Rock; Firefighters are made good progress against the bulk of the fire using 2 1/2 hand lines. Crews are now moving back to an offensive operation and making access to continue knocking down the smaller areas with fire remaining with handlines. The attached (reportedly via hallway) building being defended from fire extension. No additional resources are expected to be required. All firefighters being pulled from the building. No injuries reported.
