Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0834; 02:05PM; 831 S Westlake Av; http://bit.ly/2JiKThO; Westlake; 84 firefighters in 45 minutes knocked down the blaze in a two-story boarded-up apartment building, 5,049 square feet. After overcoming forcible entry challenges, firefighters fought fire on the first floor, second floor, in the attic, and in the walls. No occupants were found while searching the building. No reported injuries. Update Hazardous Materials 06/28/2019 INC#0958

Update Hazardous Materials; INC#0958; 02:52PM; 3636 W Beverly Bl; http://bit.ly/2NlCrnm; Koreatown; After evacuating any remaining parties in the building, firefighters isolated the substance and denied entry to the building until LAFD HAZMAT team could arrive and investigate. Common household items were found in the storage unit (laundry detergent and insecticide), which spilled and mixed together. All 3 adults that were in the immediate area (not physically contaminated) were evaluated by firefighter paramedics and all declined hospital transport, released on scene. No current health hazard to the public. LA County Department of Public Health en route to verify. Unknown cause of the spill.
