Fire was through the roof upon LAFD arrival. Relentless defensive firefighting operations prevented damage to the businesses that adjoined this mid-block structure. There have been no injuries. Firefighters prevented any signficant damage to at least two adjacent businesses. There have been no injuries. Fire cause under active investigation.
