Trapped Vehicle; INC#0776; 01:31PM; 760 W Pheasant Dr; https://bit.ly/36qVxjT; Mount Washington; A commercial delivery van, while still remaining on the road, is in a potentially unstable position (in dirt) next to a hillside (it is reportedly slightly leaning towards hill). All occupants were safely out of the vehicle prior to LAFD arrival with no injuries reported. Firefighters have tied off the van to secure it while evaluating if they can dig out the tires and safely back it up. Red Line TA or Vehic 10/02/2020 INC#1140

Red Line TA or Vehic; INC#1140; 05:13PM; 662 S Alvarado St; https://bit.ly/2D4H2VN; Westlake; LAFD responded to the Redline (Westlake Station) for a reported fire. Once the tracks were de-energized, firefighters made their way approximately 3000 feet into the tunnel east of the station and located a small rubbish fire. They quickly extinguished the fire and made their way back to the platform. It will take some time for the control center to re-energize the tracks, consequently the station will be out of operation for approximately 1 hour. The 9-1-1 call was originally received at 4:32PM. While firefighters were enroute, the person jumped. Sadly, the 35yo male was beyond medical help and determined dead on scene. The LA County Coroner office will handle cause and identification. KNOCKDOWN #EndicottFire Structure Fire; INC#0617; 12:24PM; 2420 N Endicott St; https://bit.ly/2S3QEER; El Sereno; 109 LAFD personnel took 51 minutes to extinguish flames in two structures in close proximity: an L-shaped two-story apartment building, with a one-story "home" nested within the crook of the L. Preliminary reports indicate the fire started in the one-story structure and extended tot he two story building. No injury. Seven residents (unknown age/gender/affiliation) have thus far been displaced by the fire, and the American Red Cross has been summoned to assist them. The degree of fire involvement in that one-story residence has yet to be confirmed.
