A defensive attack knocked back the flames enough for firefighters to transition to an interior attack to finish off the remaining hot spots. A partial roof collapse presented challenges in accessing the fire. Ultimately, it took 74 firefighters 56 minutes to extinguish the fire. No reported injuries. There are still hot spots within the debris. Fire companies will remain on scene for an extended period of time to overhaul, and LAFD Heavy Equipment crews will assist with safely moving the debris to access those pockets of heat. LAFD Fire Investigators (with the Arson/Counter Terrorism Section) are on scene investigating potential causes.
