Officers will inspect the building and determine where to focus the efforts and redistribute resources as needed. No additional resources are anticipated to be needed. One firefighter was taken for first care due to a non-life threatening leg injury. There are two additional, attached structures exposed on the Bravo and Delta sides which are separated by a division wall and are being defended from extension. Knockdown - #LosAngelesFire Greater Alarm Structure Fire; INC#1235; 05:52PM; 128 E Washington Bl; https://bit.ly/3D2dW3f; Historic South Central; Address Remains Tentative. 116 LAFD Firefighters took just 26 minutes in offensive operations to extinguish the bulk of flame in a 150' x 200' two story strip mall. Smoldering fire remains in the parts of the building that experienced structural collapse. No injury. #LATraffic: Washington Boulevard, including the adjacent Metro A (Blue) Line Light Rail Line will remain closed to all vehicle and train traffic until LAFD operations are complete, unknown duration. County Firefighters, took just 48 minutes to extinguish two acres acres of vegetation burning in four areas 150 yards apart, near the Glendale / City of Los Angeles border (EB 134 east of Harvey Drive), north of the CHP Communications Center, which was not directly impacted by the fire. No injury. No structures threatened or damaged. No evacuation. Fire cause under investigation.
