The building was the site of a previous burn and the fire was contained to contents only. Due to the existing compromised roof, firefighters applied water from the exterior only. Firefighters thoroughly investigated the two adjoining businesses and determined there is residual smoke only. LADBS requested for structural assessment; companies remain on scene for overhaul of the fire damage. Confined Space Rescue - Now Static; INC#1670; 10:42PM; 1821 N Sichel St; https://bit.ly/49DDMOD; Lincoln Heights; LAFD USAR teams lowered wristlets into the shaft and were able to direct the patient to place them on his wrists. Patient was then lifted and fully extricated from the shaft by rope. Paramedics are transporting the 27M in critical condition to a local trauma center with LAPD escort.
