Police reported the subject was in custody and firefighters engaged in offensive fire attack. It took 28 firefighters just 8 minutes to access and extinguish the small fire inside the bungalow. Smoke filled the first floor, as the occupants escaped with their pets. Two residents and their family canines were evaluated for smoke inhalation *as a precaution*, but were found to be in good health and further care was not needed. No reported injuries. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire - Fatality; INC#0393; 08:34AM; 1456 W Hepner Av; https://bit.ly/3FvHJWx; #EagleRock; Firefighters arrived to find a single-family home, well-involved with fire, and reports of four occupants inside and three nearby structures being exposed to heat. It took 32 firefighters 29 minutes to extinguish the flames, while protecting all neighboring structures. Three occupants escaped, but sadly, one person was found deceased inside the structure. No other residents or firefighters were injured. The fire's cause is under active investigation.
