KNOCKDOWN Greater Alarm Structure Fire; INC#1469; 09:03PM; 1539 W Cambria St; https://bit.ly/3ZU0wBr; #Westlake; An outside tree fire spread to a pair of nearby two-story residential buildings (fourplexes). Fire fully consumed the attic, with partial involvement of the second (top) floor, where firefighters prevented it from burning down into any first floor units. It took 74 firefighters 45 minutes to extinguish the flames. Approximately 27 people will be displaced. No reported injuries. It appears there was a small fire in a trash chute which was extinguished by the automatic fire sprinklers. There are no injuries reported and no damage to the structure. They are making cuts on the A and B posts (A post holds the windshield while the B post is right behind the front seats) to reduce the tension and allow the chains to pull the vehicle back into the structure. LA Building and Safety are requested to respond to determine the status of the building.
