KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1507; 07:23PM; 1301 S Berendo St; https://bit.ly/4oWOjZy; Pico-Union; KNOCKDOWN: Over 70 firefighters located, isolated and extinguished the fire in 41 minutes with no injuries reported. The fire was primarily on the 2nd story and caused a loss of stability in the floor in one area of the building. Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety is responding to assess the structure. This structure is a previous burn prompting firefighters to work in defensive mode (no inside work/no roof work). The structure has multiple surrounding exposures, which firefighters are protecting from impingement. 58 firefighters accomplished a knockdown of the fire in 21 minutes. No damage to any surrounding structures. No injuries reported. Cause of fire is unknown.
