Update Structure Fire; INC#0222; 03:17AM; 315 N Vermont Av; https://bit.ly/4sk0yAW; East Hollywood; This is now a Greater Emergency status incident with over 66 firefighters assigned. The 4 story building is a boarded-up apartment building with 3 residential stories over commercial occupancies on the 1st floor. This structure has been the site of a previous burn and is very hazardous for firefighters to fight the fire from the interior. In a defensive posture, LAFD is using ladder pipes (large diameter hose lines deployed from the top of extended aerial ladders) and master stream operations (large diameter hand held hose lines) from outside of the structure to apply water. Crews are making progress with no injuries reported.
