Update Structure Fire; INC#0138; 05:03AM; 1220 S Wall St; http://bit.ly/2xKtfy0; Downtown; Firefighters continue to battle the blaze in an approximately 50' x 100' commercial building with multiple business units;Fire primarily contained to 3 units with fire through the roof;Ladder pipes and large diameter hand lines in place on roof of adjacent building are making progress;There are two buildings (on the Bravo (East) and Delta (West) side of fire building are being successfully defended from any fire extension;No injuries reported;LAFD Arson Unit enroute (per protocol for incident of this size) to investigate for the cause;This will be an extended duration incident and will heavily impact traffic through the morning. Structure Fire; INC#0283; 07:09AM; 112 W 5th St; http://bit.ly/2Rs4Iab; Downtown; Fire on the 11th floor of a 14-story hotel built in 1923 was held in check by sprinklers (Dorothy Mae Ordinance http://bit.ly/2IULOVp). Firefighters located the fire unit and finished extinguishing the flames in 15 minutes. One patient was found with burn injuries in critical condition and will be transported to a local hospital by firefighter paramedics.
