Investigation; INC#0454; 10:10AM; 1001 S Olive St; http://bit.ly/353SxXC; Downtown; PRELIM: LAFD investigating an odor of natural gas on the 5th and 6th floors - and possibly outside or near the 186,931 square-foot, 7 story (Oakwood) "Olympic & Olive" residential apartment building (https://oakwoodolympicandolive.com/). There is no fire, illness or injury. Some residents of the 201 unit complex have calmly and safely departed floors 5 and 6. So Cal Gas has a crew en route to assist with the investigation. Update Blueline TA or Vehic; INC#0700; 12:20PM; 534 W Pico Bl; http://bit.ly/2oCfYGs; Downtown; Firefighters used cribbing to stabilize the train and then an air bag system to lift the train off the patient. The (approx) 35M will be transported to a trauma center in critical condition. No injuries reported to any passengers aboard the train. Update Investigation; INC#0339; 08:50AM; 801 N Vignes St; http://bit.ly/2nu20X5; Downtown; The inbound Metro (Red or Purple Line) subway train has arrived at Union Station with no evidence of smoke or fire aboard the train and no injuries. All occupants of the involved Metro subway train, as well as patrons waiting to depart on the subway system, have been safely evacuated from the subterranean subway platform to the safe and spacious Union Station level above. Union Station, Metrolink and Amtrak service are not directly affected by this investigation, though there is a significant increase in patrons safely awaiting subway service to resume. Initial reports are of no smoke or fire aboard the train or in the station, and no injuries have been reported. Lobby operations reports no elevator recall nor alarm activation which would indicate this is more likely to be a surface fire on the roof as opposed to a fire within the structure. Structure Fire 09/20/2019 INC#0157

Structure Fire; INC#0157; 04:16AM; 1320 S Los Angeles St; http://bit.ly/30fYdPt; Downtown; 93 firefighters responded to a one-story commercial building that was initially finding lazy smoke and a sprinkler activation inside. As crews searched the 50' x 150' unit in a row of businesses, the company on the roof got fire blowing out of their ventilation cut. Firefighters inside encountered multiple mezzanines with heavy fire load. Once the fire was located inside, hose lines were utilized to battle the flames. The fire was extinguished 57 minutes after the first alarm was sent out. No reported injuries. Fire remains under active investigation. Firefighters will continue to pull out all debris off the top of the storage containers and go through each one (8) to ensure no hot spots remain.
