An adult female occupant who suffered smoke inhalation has been taken to the hospital by LAFD Paramedics in fair condition. Rapidly adding companies to the assignment (to make it a Greater Alarm), and a quick and aggressive fire attack contributed to the short duration of the fire. Due to the structural compromise and the extensive amount of goods inside the building, heavy equipment will be required to help clear debris so the hot spots can be extinguished. This will be an extended duration operation with crews on scene throughout the night. Please continue to avoid the area. There were no injuries reported and the adjacent building was defended from any damage.
