Structure Fire - Now Out 04/07/2021 INC#0361

Structure Fire - Now Out; INC#0361; 08:39AM; 647 N Spring St; https://bit.ly/3wBpHLN; Downtown; Firefighters found a two-story commercial building with smoke showing when they arrived. The building had been burned previously, containing ventilation holes in the roof from a previous incident allowing the smoke to escape. Crews assigned to interior fire attack located and extinguished the fire, which was burning contents on the second floor. It took 38 firefighters 12 minutes (8:51AM) to put out the flames. No reported injuries. Update Structure Fire 03/24/2021 INC#1340

Update Structure Fire; INC#1340; 07:47PM; 1603 S San Pedro St; https://bit.ly/3mp8Gy8; Downtown; KNOCKDOWN: Over 100 firefighters conducted a closely coordinated operation, using aerial ladder from the freeway to send firefighters to the roof to secure the people sheltering atop the building. The roof was deemed a safe location (concrete, poured in place high rise) and the occupants were kept in place. Some of them will require evaluation for possible smoke inhalation and once the stairwells are cleared, firefighters will bring them down. At the same time, crews on fire attack quickly ascended the building, located and extinguished fire on both the 2nd and 3rd floors in 29 minutes. A primary and secondary search was clear and no other occupants were found. Update Multi-Patient Electrical Injury 02/25/2021 INC#0424

Update Multi-Patient Electrical Injury; INC#0424; 09:43AM; 360 S Flower St; https://bit.ly/3qWA7lQ; Downtown; 2 adult male private (electrical?) contractors (not public utility employees) have sustained "critical injuries" following what witnesses described as an "explosion" involving electrical equipment at or near a loading dock. Both men have been taken to an area hospital in critical condition. No other persons were injured. LADWP will be assisting LAFD in assuring equipment is fully and appropriately de-energized.
