They located a contents fire, held in check by fire sprinklers, and fully extinguished the fire ensuring it was contained to one unit. The hallway is clear of smoke and no evacuation is required. There is some residual water on the 10th and 11th floors and firefighters are taking equipment up to conduct a water removal operation. One patient (age/gender unknown) is being evaluated for possible smoke inhalation. While a few residents self-evacuated, the rest of the building is sheltering in place. There is only light smoke in the hallway. There will be a water removal operation due to the sprinkler activation. No injuries reported.
