KNOCKDOWN Greater Alarm Structure Fire; INC#1767; 10:40PM; 3333 W 2nd St; #Koreatown; Firefighters responded to a very large four-story apartment complex, which had three occupied floors over a parking level. Crews simultaneously developed hose lines to a top-floor fire unit, assisted occupants evacuate, and cut holes in the roof for vertical ventilation. Seventy-two firefighters extinguished the flames in 25 minutes. One patient went to the hospital in fair condition due to smoke inhalation. Due to smoke damage, an unknown number of residents will be displace. Red Cross is responding to assist. No firefighter injuries. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0355; 08:00AM; 845 S Kingsley Dr; #Koreatown; Firefighters responded to a two-story craftsman-style home with heavy smoke and fire coming from the second floor. It took 46 firefighter 26 minutes to access, confine, and extinguish the flames. Firefighters protected the nearby residential buildings and the fire was contained to the second floor and the attic. No reported injuries. One person is perched precariously on a pedestrian bridge over the 10 Freeway. Firefighters have deployed the rescue air cushion below. The patient's intent is unclear. No escalating or off-site hazard known. #LATraffic: The 10 Freeway has been closed to all traffic from (at least) Marengo/Soto St to Eastern Ave/Campus Rd until LAFD operations are complete, unknown duration. Motorists, expect congestion and delay, avoid the area and consider an alternate route.
