Crews ascended the interior stair wells with hose and equipment, and made access to the top floor where they found fire in one unit. It took 52 firefighters 29 minutes to access, confine, and extinguish the flames. Firefighters will remain on scene to mitigate the water damage from fire suppression efforts, and evacuate smoke from the building. No reported injuries. No injury. Firefighters used hydraulic rescue tools to free the two trapped patients. A total of four were evaluated. Sadly, one was deceased on scene. Crews forced entry and extended hose lines inside, while others ascended ladders to the roof to cut holes in the roof to provide vertical ventilation. It took 98 firefighters 33 minutes to extinguish the flames. No reported injuries.
