LAFD Heavy Equipment Operators are responding to assist with uncovering smoldering debris from the large pile of outside rubbish. Cause under investigation. Crews made access to the garden-style unit with hose lines, and promptly extinguished the flames inside the unit, which was being renovated. No reported injuries. Though one home was briefly threatened, firefighters prevented any infra/structure damage or injury. While witnesses have described an adult male having possibly set fire(s) in the area and LAPD (Hollenbeck Division Incident #4468) was notified of such, LAFD is unaware if that man has been located or detained by Police.
