Fire damage located to an electric scooter in the unit. Firefighters remain on scene for overhaul, sprinkler shutoff, and mitigation of lithium-ion battery hazard. Structure Fire - Now Out; INC#1610; 08:59PM; 1535 Mohawk St; https://bit.ly/3ZNeesW; #EchoPark; Garage fire extending into a one-story single family dwelling upon fire department arrival -- occupants of the home were able to self-extricate. Firefighters attacked fire in the garage while simultaneously making entrance into the home to fight fire in the attic and salvage property on the main floor. Knockdown declared in 29 minutes with 32 firefighters working on scene. Firefighters quickly extinguished the auto fire, preventing damage to the structure. Hydrant 06/21/2025 INC#1410

Hydrant; INC#1410; 08:58PM; 2235 W Beverly Bl; https://bit.ly/4eewKAb; Westlake; Vehicle hit and displaced a fire hydrant. Vehicle left the scene and there are no injuries reported. However the water flow from the hydrant is flooding the roof of a two-story, center hall building (housing a church). Large amount of water is accumulating on both floors and damaging the structure. Firefighters are shutting down the hydrant and additional resources are enroute to assist with the water removal operation. Update Structure Fire; INC#0848; 04:39PM; 215 E Winston St; https://bit.ly/4eacNup; Downtown; While an official knockdown has not yet been declared, firefighters have the bulk of the fire extinguished and are reducing the number of resources assigned to the incident. The RS3 Robotic Firefighting Vehicle is on scene to assist with reaching remaining pockets of fire in areas that are not safe for firefighters to enter. There are no injuries reported. Per protocol for a Major Emergency incident, LAFD Arson is on scene for the cause investigation. Update Structure Fire; INC#0848; 02:04PM; 215 E Winston St; https://bit.ly/4eacNup; Downtown; This incident is now at the Major Emergency status (over 88 firefighters) and is transitioning to a Defensive Operation. The fire extended to the adjacent large, commercial building. Due to heavy storage load, firefighters were not able to reach the seat of the fire. Additional resources are enroute.
