Rescue air cushions are deployed on both sides of the freeway. Additionally, CHP has both sides of the 101 freeway shut down to through traffic. Report of a person threatening to jump off an overpass to the 101 freeway in downtown LA. LAFD, CHP and LAPD on scene. [Update] Structure Fire; INC#0348; 07:22AM; 3221 James M Wood Bl; https://bit.ly/49369EX; Koreatown; Updated 18 displaced individuals. Red Cross notified. PIO Captain on scene for media. At 0820 AM James M Wood IC declared an official knockdown of the fire. E13 arrived on scene to find a 2 story garden style apartment with heavy smoke showing from the attic. LAFD units are in offensive mode. An emergency traffic alert via the radio was issued due to a compromised roof and partial roof collapse. No injuries were reported, Red Cross notified, LADOT notified, LABS notified, LADWP notified and the Southern California Gas Company notified. At 0820 AM James M Wood IC declared an official knockdown of the fire. E13 arrived on scene to find a 2 story garden style apartment with heavy smoke showing from the attic. LAFD units are in offensive mode. An emergency traffic alert via the radio was issued due to a compromised roof and partial roof collapse.
