KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1494; 07:48PM; 4782 N Hillsdale Dr; https://bit.ly/3C4za0O; El Sereno; Thirty LAFD firefighters made a coordinated attack between interior fire attack and rooftop ventilation to extinguish the flames in a three-story descending hillside home in 19 minutes. One patient was rescued from the structure, but did not wish to accept medical help from firefighter-paramedics on scene. CONTAINED Brush Fire; INC#0960; 04:16PM; 4570 N Griffin Av; https://bit.ly/3xflgW3; Montecito Heights; Eighty-eight LAFD firefighters by air and ground (with assistance from LAFD Crew 3 volunteers) made a swift direct attack on the fire to hold it to approximately one acre, stopping the spread in 65 minutes. No structures damaged. No reported injuries. Crews will remain on scene to extinguish all remaining hot spots. The additional resources were canceled prior to their arrival. The quick action of the firefighters ensured the fire did not extend into the common attic, defending all the adjoining businesses from damage. No injuries were reported.
