KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0521; 09:47AM; 255 S Loma Dr; https://bit.ly/3GLPAwP; Westlake; Firefighters located fire in one unit on the top floor (third occupied floor over one parking level) of a modern apartment building, where it appeared fire originated from a malfunctioning A/C unit, producing an abundance of smoke. It took 42 firefighters just 16 minutes to access, confine and extinguish the fire, which only partially damaged one unit. Update River Rescue 12/14/2021 INC#0282

Update River Rescue; INC#0282; 10:00AM; 2658 E Washington Bl; https://bit.ly/3dQ8TIR; Downtown; Now a total of 3 vehicles have been swept down the LA River toward the Washington Bridge. The second vehicle has become "stacked" atop the first submerged vehicle (water level has risen). A third vehicle was carried past the bridge at Washington Blvd and proceeded into LA County FD jurisdiction. So far, no victims (if there are any) have been located or identified. River Rescue 12/14/2021 INC#0282

River Rescue; INC#0282; 05:39AM; 2658 E Washington Bl; https://bit.ly/3dQ8TIR; Downtown; An auto rollover was reported at 5:39am. Crews arrived on scene and received additional information that led them to upgrade the incident to a river rescue at approximately 6:10am. LAFD air and ground crews surveyed up and down the LA River, finding no victims. At approximately 7:30am, a single vehicle was located, stationary against a column or abutment, with fast-moving water rising rapidly. Crews are preparing for a vehicle recovery, once conditions provide an opportunity. The identity/location/condition of the driver remains unknown. No victim located.
