Firefighters remained in the offensive mode as they made entry and extinguished the fire on the 1st floor before making their way up to the 2nd floor and attic. LAFD Firefighter/Paramedics are attending to the man as their colleagues prepare to use a truck-mounted aerial ladder in a crane-like fashion to lower the still viable patient to ground level and an awaiting ambulance. Building type updated to an approximately 100' x 50' commercial building with four distinct occupancies under one common attic. The initial fire attack quickly extinguished the contents fire on the first floor and continued up the mezzanine and into the attic to extinguish any extension of the fire.
