Firefighters knocked down the outside fire quickly, then forced entry into the commercial building to check for fire extension -- minor impingement noted in the eaves, with no extension to the interior of the building. In addition to fire suppression, firefighters quickly performed salvage operations to protect unit below the fire on the 3rd floor from water/smoke damage. LAFD will remain on scene to perform overhaul operations ensuring complete extinguishment, as well as smoke removal. No injuries reported. Undetermined cause of fire.
