Heavy fire continues among dense storage on the second and third floors of the 5,000 square foot three-story (plus basement) commercial building of masonry construction (2 floors originally of 'office' space above first floor commercial). No injury. No evacuation. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1075; 03:12PM; 833 S Fedora St; https://bit.ly/3sH87Zf; #Koreatown; Firefighters found fire in the elevator room and elevator shaft, which caused smoke to spread inside the building. Firefighters on the roof cut holes to allow smoke and heated gases to escape, while crews were proactively evacuating residents. Thankfully the 50 firefighters on scene extinguished the flames in 25 minutes, and cleared the smoke from the building, allowing all residents to repopulate their residences. No reported injuries. Fire attack crews located fire on the 3rd floor and in the attic, as ventilation crews went to the roof to cut holes for smoke and super-heated gases to escape. Ultimately, it took 47 firefighters 27 minutes to access, confine, and extinguish the flames. No reported injuries. Flames climbed to the second floor, as firefighters made entry with water-charged hose lines. Ultimately, it took 34 firefighters 23 minutes to extinguish the flames. No reported injuries.
