The building is a vacant building and is a previous burned building. Firefighters are operating in the offensive mode. The Department of Transportation is notified for traffic control. LAPD has been notified for crowd control. LAPD Incident # 1768. LUCAS IC also requesting Department of Water and Power for unhoused individuals tapping into power of the building . High Angle Rescue [Long Fall]; INC#0928; 01:24PM; 2750 E Washington Bl; https://bit.ly/3zZvQoB; Boyle Heights; First arriving fire companies found an adult woman that fell approximately 40 feet from the bridge down into the LA River. The patient is not in the water. LAFD Air Operations and Urban Search and Rescue crews are on scene. The Department of Transportation and LAPD have been requested for traffic control. LAPD incident 2349. LAFD paramedics have been lowered down to the patient and the patient is being medically evaluated. LAFD Air Operations is performing a hoisting operation and will be transporting the patient for further medical care at a local hospital. No firefighter injuries reported. Structure Fire - Now Out; INC#0085; 01:04AM; 1224 S Hope St; https://bit.ly/3WbnXqX; Downtown; 100’ x 150’ two-story row of commercials, previous burn, with fire showing from both the first and second floors. Though first-arriving companies initially entered the building, Incident Command soon ordered a defensive posture — companies backed out, fought fire from outside the structure, and prioritized the protection of neighboring structures. Crews transitioned back to an offensive posture as flames were brought under control. Knockdown declared at 1:54PM; exposures successfully protected and no injuries reported. Assisting on scene are LADOT, LADWP, and LAPD (INC#0292). One automobile rolled over, requiring extrication of one patient who has been transported to a local hospital.
