Update Train vs. Vehicle; INC#1476; 08:05PM; 5319 S Long Beach Av; https://bit.ly/40oEIjo; #CentralAlameda; The one person briefly trapped in the overturned vehicle was freed by LAFD Firefighters, and has been taken to a regional trauma center in serious condition. The one train passenger with non-specific complaints, was medically evaluated by LAFD Paramedics and has declined ambulance transportation. No other injuries reported. With the temporary closure of both directions of Metro 'A' (Blue) Line light rail service in the vicinity of the incident (between Slauson Station and Vernon Stations) until LAPD operations are complete (unknown duration), Metro will make alternate transportation arrangements for the train operator and approximately 60 passengers aboard the train, who were uninjured.
