Update Structure Fire - Now Out; INC#0559; 12:38PM; 451 S Main St; https://bit.ly/4mFWyYC; #Downtown; The fire involved an electric scooter in the third-floor *hallway* of the 12 story 297 unit "Rosslyn Lofts" residential high-rise (built 1913), and was held in check by fire sprinklers. The flames were fully extinguished by first arriving LAFD crews in less than 20 minutes. A 68 year-old female resident (undetermined relationship or proximity to the scooter) reportedly jumped from a third-floor fire escape prior to LAFD arrival, sustaining a severe leg injury and minor facial trauma. She was transported by LAFD Paramedics to an area hospital in fair condition. No other injuries were reported.
